Nick Elbourne

Managing Director


Nick Elbourne

Nick has 15 years’ experience in electrical engineering and infrastructure design. Before moving into renewable technology, he designed and managed the installation of infrastructure projects for financial institutions. This has given Nick a strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and process management, which he has implemented in his time working on domestic, commercial and industrial solar installations throughout the UK. With experience working on both LV and MV networks, this allowed him to manage the installation of over 4MW of commercial solar systems, 175MW of industrial ground mounted solar installations and over 50MW of domestic solar PV installations. As Managing Director, he uses his knowledge and experience to guide the team into the delivery of solar installations to the highest standard. During his free time, Nick enjoys playing golf and supporting Arsenal F.C.

Tim Day

Head of Community Energy


Tim has over 15 years of experience in the UK’s renewable industry. Coming from a customer-centric manufacturing and smart home environment before moving into solar technology, Tim has worked on funded large-scale solar projects helping to deploy over 200MW of solar. Tim strongly believes that while solar is a tough and challenging market, it is also our future, and is proud to be part of a close knit team that really cares about providing the right technical solution to all clients, while helping pave a greener future for the next generation. Tim's focus is on promoting the use of renewables to commercial and residential clients who understand the need to go solar. Tim is a retired rugby player and now spends his spare time coaching rugby at Harpenden, Saracens DPP and Herts County.

Justin McMillan

Technical Director


Justin McMillan

Justin has 25 years of construction experience with the UK’s electrical/mechanical infrastructure and renewable energy sectors, with extensive experience in HV/MV, electrical/mechanical infrastructure, solar PV/storage, solar thermal, metering and domestic installations, from both a design, installation and operational perspective. He supports the business with technical due diligence reporting, technical analysis, design/performance management of solar systems, as well as support to the O&M, Asset and Operational side of the business. Justin has designed, constructed and operationally managed over 180MW of ground mounted and rooftop solar systems for the business previously and is now engaged in the social housing and private sector solar installations.

Andrew Russell

Operation & Maintenance Director


Andrew joined the team in 2016 to establish the O&M team, operating as a one-stop shop service. Having been a commercial banker for over 30 years Andrew brings his experience in process, governance, relationship management and analysis to the O&M function. Operating with an experienced team of engineers and analysts, his team manages and maintain the operation of the businesses assets, as well as external client assets, looking after in excess of 120MW of rooftop and ground mounted solar systems. He works with owners and third parties to provide a proactive service to help maximise their systems efficiency and revenues, whilst minimising their downtime. Outside of the business. Andrew is a keen sportsman, currently involved with cycling and golf.

Ryan Whittaker

Operations Director


Ryan Whittaker

A traditional roofer by trade, Ryan diversified into the renewables sector in 2009 after running a successful business which employed four roofing teams and spanned throughout the East Midlands/South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire for eight years. Ryan enjoys the diversity and challenges of the multiple different projects undertaken at Green Energy Together, currently working on multiple ventures, ranging from domestic housing associations, commercial rooftop and ground mounted solar farms exceeding 150MW. Outside of work Ryan is a big fan of watching and taking part in motorcycle racing and enjoys spending time with his family - particularly teaching his kids to ride, race and play football.

Vetus Cepulis

Design and Commissioning Manager


Vetus is a commissioning manager who has over 10 years of experience in the solar and renewables industry. Starting as a site supervisor for a number of UK companies, he currently performs as a commissioning manager, where he is in charge of designing documentation ensuring compliance with all local AHJ and national codes, mechanical and electrical specifications, safety items, and dead and live testing. Vetus is also in charge of all Company’s accreditations with RECC, MCS and NICEIC, and with post-accreditation yearly audits and re-certification. In his free time Vetus enjoys skiing and gastrotourism.
